Clifton - Hilton Knowles, 84, passed away at his residence, Saturday June 23, 2007, husband of Anna (Hanna). Born in Clifton, he was the son of the late James and Stella (Smith) Knowles. He worked as a mechanic at Brunswick Mines. He was a member of Herman J. Good V.C. Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 18, and also Brunswick Mines Retiree’s Club. Besides his wife,Anna, he is survived by: Two Sons; Peter (Rose) of Clifton and Dean (Susan) of Bedford, N.S. Four grandchildren; Erin, Tabitha, Tony and Matthew. Three Sisters; Edna (late John) Murdock of Westfield, N.B. Arvella Malloy of Bathurst, Alma (George) Glendenning of Canobie. Several nieces and nephews Pre-deceased by two brothers, Lane and Hubert, one sister; Myrtle. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 26 June, 2007, at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. The funeral service will be held from Christ Church Anglican in Clifton, Wednesday June 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Legion service will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
