Big River - Herbert E. Branch, 63, of Big River, died Tuesday (December 16, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Herbert A. and Iona (Dunville) Branch. He worked as a welder for Brunswick Mines. His hobbies included making models railroads, hunting and stamp collecting. He is survived by: 1 Son: Shane Branch (Colleen) of Whitehorse, Yukon 2 Daughters: Cindy Pickard (Joel) of Bathurst, Crystal Branch of Fredericton, NB 2 Brothers: James Branch (Marjorie) of Moncton, Reade Branch of Fredericton 1 Sister: Sheila Francis (Ray) of Kentville, NS 2 Nephew; Shawn and Kevin Branch and several cousins The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral service was held on Friday morning (December 20, 2003) at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the United Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst, in the spring.
