Bathurst … Mrs. Laura Laffoley, 80, wife of Oswald Laffoley, of King Ave, Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (October 2, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Ida (Vienneau) Doucet. She was a Registered Nurse and was a member of the NB Retired Nurses Association. She is survived by: Two sons: Claude Laffoley (Linda) of Ontario. Roger Laffoley of Bathurst One sister: Evelyn Godin (Alban) of Bathurst Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 5 brothers: Sylvio, Wilfred, Valmon, Abner, Theodore, 1 sister; Sister Viola Doucet. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday (October 4, 2007) at Elhatton's Funeral Home,(www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning (October 5, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
