Christine Proctor of Nigadoo and formerly of Beresford, 88, wife of the late Francis A. Proctor, passed away Monday (January 14, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a brief illness.
Born in Beresford, she was the eldest daughter of the late Benoit Hachey and late Alma Aubé.
She was a member of Herman J. Good, V.C. Branch 18, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by:
Seven daughters;
Theresa (Roger Landry) of Beresford,
Emily (William Hachey) of Robertville,
Gerry Sealy of Bathurst,
Marjorie (Gilbert Aubé) of Petit Rocher,
Eunice Proctor of Bathurst,
Sonia Proctor (Eddy Ramsay) of Bathurst and
Phyllis Pitre of Nigadoo.
One son;
Maurice (Della Gallagher) of Beresford.
Thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Three sisters;
Ann (André Barrière) of St-Bruno QC,
Julia (late Patrick Lee) of Chateauguay QC and
Emily (Gilbert Phillips) of Ingleside ON.
Four brothers;
Martin (Denise Leroux) of Almer QC,
Douglas (Irene Arseneault) of Atholville NB,
David (Remy) of Verdun QC and
Arthur (Dorothy Blackett) of Dunlop NB.
She was pre-deceased by her husband; Frank in 1990, a daughter; Carol, a granddaughter; Rochelle and two sisters; Josie Hachey and Viola/Beulah Jacobs.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday (January 18, 2008) from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel until time of funeral at 4:00 p.m.
Burial will be in the St-Nom de Jésus Parish cemetery in Beresford.
