Salmon Beach - Walter Wood, 68, of Salmon Beach, passed away on Monday (March 3, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Canobie, he was the son of the late Austin and Florence (Jagoe) Wood.
He worked for Brunswick Mines and later as a truck driver. He was a member of the NB Trappers Association and was an avid outdoorsman.

Jean Sealy of Janeville
3 grandchildren; Emily Wood, Rebecca Gauthier, Grace Carey, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by 2 sisters; Adeline, Mora and a brother; Daryl.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Friday (March 7, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Ven. Patricia Drummond officiating. Burial will be in the St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
