Bathurst - Leonard Roy, 76, of St. Andrew St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph Thomas and Virginia (Landry) Roy. He worked for the former W.J. Kent & Co. Ltd. for most of his life. Besides his wife, Grace (Hussey) Roy, he is survived by: One son: Brent Roy (Debbie) of Bathurst One daughter: Pauline Denova (Roger) of Ottawa, ON One brother: Gilbert Roy (Alice) of Campbellton 4 grandchildren; Kayelani, Shannon, Liam, Nathan, several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (March 24, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst, with a reception to follow in the Cathedral basement. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
