Beresford – Mrs. Léona Bertin, 73, wife of Rheal Bertin, of Beresford, passed away on Saturday (April 19, 2008) at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Philomène (Daigle) Pitre.
She was a member of the “Filles d’Isabelle” Beresford, “Club l’age d’or”, Beresford and the Ladies Auxilary of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.

13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), 270 Center St., Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (April 22, 2008) at 4:30 p.m. from the Holy Name of Jesus Church (Eglise St. Nom de Jesus), Beresford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. Visiting hours are Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Leona may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Association or a favorite charity.
