Bathurst - Charles Saulnier, 71, of Sunset Dr., Bathurst, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Wednesday (April 30, 2008), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief battle with sarcoma.
Born in Tracadie, he was the son of the late Félix and Octavie (Rousselle) Saulnier.
He was retired from Brunswick Mines.
Besides his wife, Imelda (Thériault) Saulnier, he is survived by his children:

Ginette (Jean-Luc Frenette) of Beresford
Two beloved grandchildren; Maxime and Miguel.

He was pre-deceased by a sister; Marguerite Duguay.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (May 5, 2008) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral. Donations to a favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
