Bathurst … Sister Marie-Rose Arseneau, 72 and 11 months, which occurred Sunday, June 1st, 2008 in her 51st year of religious life, at the Infirmary Hospitalières of Saint Joseph, 2144 Vallée, Lourdes Drive, Bathurst, NB.
Born, July 7, 1935 in Robertville, NB, she was the daughter of late Grégoire Arseneau and late Georgina Frenette.
Beside her religious family, she is survived by:
Three sisters;
Marie-Anne Cormier (late Edgar) of Petit Rocher,
Marie-Blanche Haché (Omer) of Ste-Rosette,
Dora Godin (late Patrice) of Saint-André.
Five brothers;
Régis (Catherine),
Albanie (Noëlla),
Donat (Georgette),
Léonard (Anita) all of Robertville and
Clovis of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Several nieces and nephews.
Sister Marie Rose entered the Les Religieuses Hospitalières of Saint Joseph, August 11, 1954 and made religious profession, February 22, 1956.
She worked in the hospitals of Bathurst, St. Quentin, Lamèque and the Sanatorium of St. Basile and Sorel.
Between 1990 to 2006, sister Marie Rose was at the Hotel Dieu Infirmary of St. Basile and later at the Maison Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, Vallée Lourdes Dr.,Bathurst.
The body rested at the Maison Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, 2144 Vallé-Lourdes Drive, Bathurst. A prayer service was held on Monday evening.
The funerals mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Maison Notre-Dame de l’Assomption.
The burial was in de congregation cemetery.
