The death of Mrs Albina Doucet, 73, of St. Anne’s, Gloucester Co., which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Friday June 6, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Celine (Lagacé) Pitre.
She is survived by:
Five sons;
Gerry Doucet of Miramichi,
Kenny Doucet (Yolande) of St.Anne’s,
Jean-Guy Doucet of Bathurst,
Donald Doucet (Nancy Landry) and
Norman Doucet (Lucie) both of Riverview.
One daughter;
Nicole Legacy (Jean-Paul) of Ste.Anne’s
She leaves behind 9 grandchildren; Byron, Ryan, Jeffrey, Jillian, Bianca, Kevin, Justin, Rachel and Remi.
Surviving also is one brother; Lionel “Wabo” Pitre.
She was predeceased by one son; Edmond Doucet and 2 sisters; Macrina (Cathy) Good and May Pitre, and a brother; Gérald “Pet” Pitre.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00, Monday from 9:00 until time of funeral.
The funeral will be celebrated Monday June 9, 2008 at 11:00 from Holy Family Church.
Burial will be in parish cemetery.
In memory of Albina, donations to Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by family.
