Bathurst - Grégoire Frenette, 84, of Ste Anne St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (July 31, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Apollinaire & Marie Anne (Cormier) Frenette.
He was a former employee of Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for over 36 years and was a former member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Because of his rare blood type, he gave to the Canadian Blood Services for many years.

Two daughters:
Patricia DeGrace (James) of Bathurst
Suzanne Comeau (Danny) of Robertville
Three brothers:
Alphonse (Lucie) and
Vincent (Josephine), both of Robertville
Julien (Gilberte) of Montreal, Que.
Three sisters:
Juliette Frenette (Clovis) and
Valérie Lavigne both of Robertville
Agathe Mallet of Montreal, Que.
One sister-in-law, Marie-Anne Lavigne Frenette of Bathurst.
9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Also pre-deceased by 2 sisters, Ezella and Rita and 3 brothers Auguste, Lionel, and Emile.
By request, there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (August 4, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst, with a reception to follow. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Grégoire, may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
