Robertville - Mrs. Henrietta “Rita” Cormier (nee Nicol), 81, wife of Denis A. Cormier of Robertville, passed away on Wednesday (September 10, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a lengthy illness. Born in Robertville, she was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Moodie) Nicol. She is survived be her husband of 59 years; Denis. One son; Henry of Robertville. Two daughters; Denise Aube of Beresford and Esther Cormier of Ottawa. One brother; Gordon Nicol of Robertville. She also leaves behind: Two loving granddaughters; Leigh Aube and Sarah Duguay. She was predeceased by her brother; John and sisters; Maude Morrisson and Grace Cormier. She will be lovingly remembered bye her sons-in-law; Berny Aube and Richard Manicom as well as former son-in-law; David Duguay, several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. Rita's kitchen was the place to gather, and she had a story about everything; airplanes, cows, wild animals, birds, trees, her garden and the glory of the night sky. Visitation with the family will be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday (September 12, 2008) at La Maison Funéraire Héritage (www.mfheritge.com) in Beresford. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon (September 13, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from l'église Ste-Thérèse de Robertville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Henrietta, donations may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
