Sister Julienne Cormier, 87 years and 3 months, after 53 years of religious life, which occurred Wednesday (September 18, 2008) at the Infirmary of the Religieuses Hospitalières de Saint Joseph, Bathurst.
Born in Caraquet, NB on June 19, 1921, she was the daughter of late Adolphe Cormier and late Agnès Roy.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by:
Two sisters;
Jeanne (late Melthiade Thériault) of Paquetville,
Germaine (late Théophile Thériault) of Grand Band, ON
Two sisters-in- laws;
Anita Dugas (late Livain Cormier) and
Evelyne Albert (late Julien Cormier).
Several nieces and nephews.
Eight brothers; Adolphe, Julien, Livain, Raymond, Albini, Lucien, Conrad and Herman ''Armand'', also two sisters; Cécilia and Jeanne (infancy) predeceased her.
Sister Julienne Cormier entered the order of R.H.S.J. in Campbellton on February 24, l951 where she proclaimed her vows to the religious profession on February 22, 1956.
Sister Julienne made a numerous services in a various department including; care giver, nurse and serveral administration concils.
The body will rest at La Maison Notre Dame de l'Assomption, 2144 Vallée Lourdes Drive, Bathurst, Sunday (September 21, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. where a prayer vigil will take place at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday (September 22, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of La Maison Notre-Dame de l'Assomption, 2144 Vallée-Lourdes Drive, Bathurst.
Burial will take place in the congregation’s cemetery.
