It is with immense sadness that the Melanson family is announcing the sudden death of Normand Melanson which occurred Tuesday September 30, 2008 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 46.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Mrs. Rita (Poirier) Melanson and the late Emile Melanson.
Other than his mom; Rita of Bathurst, he leaves behind his wife; Maria and their adored daughter; Ania.
Three brothers;
Maurice (Thérèse) of Bathurst,
Raymond (Dale) of Moncton,
Jean-Guy (Rosa) of Toronto.
Eight sisters;
Diane Allain (James),
Jeannine Parent (Louis) both of Dieppe, NB,
Claudette Melanson (Philippe Hachey) of Bathurst,
Lisette Melanson of Ottawa,
Lorraine Lewis (Jude) of Beresford,
Carole Melanson (Eda Roussel) of Bathurst,
Doris Hébert (Daniel) of Beresford and
Juliette Melanson of Nigadoo.
Normand will be truly missed by his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
As well as his parents-in-law; Mr. & Mrs. Josef Polak, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law and children.
He was predeceased by two sisters; Suzanne and Louise.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) of Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 and Saturday October 11, 2008 from 9:00 until time of funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday October 11, 2008 at 11:00 from The Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst.
