Jonathan “J.P.” Butler, 58, of Miramichi Road, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2008 at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Chatham Kent, England, he was the son of Jonathan and Victoria (Sainsbury) Butler.
He served in the Military for over 20 years and later worked as a Welding Inspector. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
Besides his parents of Bridgewater, NS, he is survived by his companion; Debbie Roy and her children;
Brad Roy (Elain Desjardins) of Truro, NS
Tammy Roy (Keith Watts) of California USA
One son; Jason Butler (Sheryl) of Prince Edward Island
One daughter; Brenda Gromac (Kevin) of Truro, NS.
6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. All are welcome to a graveside service to be held on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Highland View Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
