Bathurst - Edmund "Normand" Paulin, 84 yrs, formerly of Allardville passed away Friday 17 October 2008 at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst where he resided.
Born in Atholl, Massachusetts, USA, he was the son of the late Avila Paulin and the late Lina Thériault.
He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and was formerly a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Counsel Rev. Léon Gagnon, no. 9351, of Allardville He worked in Ontario for "Best Pipe" and returned to Allardville to open his own Saw Mill.
Pre-deceased by his first wife; Yvonne Gionet, and is survived by his life partner; Aline (LeBouthillier) Belliveau of Allardville

He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers; Nivaird, Freeman, 3 sisters; Irène, Marie and Rose Anna.
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (October 20, 2008) at 4:00 p.m. from Christ Roi Church in Allardville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Edmund, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Visiting hours are Sunday from 7:00 to 9 p.m. and Monday From 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral.
