Early on the morning of Tuesday, November 11, 2008, Paul Hachey passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, in his 49th year after a dignified and brave stand against cancer. Paul was a dear and loving husband, father, brother, son, respected friend and well-liked by co-workers. He is survived and mourned by his loving wife Debbie (Fellows) of 18 years and their three children: Natasha (16), Dylan (13) and Shawn (9). Paul will always be lovingly remembered by his mother Doris (Gaudet) Hachey(late Louis) of Bathurst and her sister Antoinette Hanas (John) of London, ON, his sister Louise Ross (David) of Bathurst, brother Jean-Marc (Richard Berthelsen) of Toronto, ON, his twin brother Pierre (Maureen) of Drayton Valley, AB and sister Marie-Claire Pierce (Don) of Moncton who provided unceasing comfort, care and companionship in these past weeks in Bathurst and Moncton. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Gail DeGrace (Blair) of Plaster Rock, NB and brother-in-law Bob Fellows (Joanne) of Saint John as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
For more than 25 years, he worked as an Industrial Mechanic with Smurfit Stone, and more recently with Xstrata Zinc in Belledune. Paul was enthusiastic in his support for minor hockey as a coach and a fan.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 13 at Elhatton’s Funeral Home from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 4 pm on Friday, November 14 at the Holy Family Church in Bathurst.
