Burlington, ON … Ervine R. Wood, 83, of Burlington, ON, and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (November 20, 2008), in Burlington.
Born in Acadieville, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Caroline (Bastian) Wood.
He served in World War II with the North Shore Regiment in Canada and overseas and a former member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Past Master of the Victoria Lodge 474 Masonic Order in Toronto and was also a Shrinner. He worked for over 43 years for CP Rail.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Margaret (Morrison) Wood in 2002.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Sharon Spensley (Robert) of Tamworth, ON
10 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon (November 26, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Austin Jagoe officiating. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
