Bathurst - Placide Chiasson, 95, of Foyer Notre de Lourdes, Bathurst, husband of late Marie-Anne Comeau, passed away, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, formerly of Petit-Rocher and Bathurst.
Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of late Patrick Chiasson and late Georgine Doucet.
Placide was a heavy equipment operator and foreman for the Province of New Brunwick department of Transportion.
He is survived by:
4 sons;
Jean-Paul (Phyllis) Chiasson of Moncton,
Euclide (Claudette) Chiasson of Pointe Verte,
Robert (Marie-Jeanne) Chiasson of Beresford,
Jean-Luc (Jocelyne) Chiasson of Ste Rosette.
2 daughters;
Marcelle (Terry) Mersereau of Bathurst,
Joanne Gauthier of North Tetaghouche.
9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
2 brothers;
Gérard (Simonne) Chiasson,
Léonard (Lina) Chiasson, both of Rogersville.
2 sisters;
Sr. Patricia Chiasson, fma of Campbellton,
Antoinette (Maurice) Doucet of Moncton.
He was pre-deceased by: one son; Marc, seven brothers; Camille, Wilfred, Alexandre, Méderic 1, Edmond, Jean-Paul et Méderic 2, and three sisters; Sr. Sophie fma, Sr. Vitaline fma and Marguerite.

St .George St., Bathurst from 7 pm Thursday December 4, 2008.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 5, 2008 at 4 pm from Our Lady Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Thursday December 4 from 7 pm to 9 pm and Friday December 5 from 2 pm until time of funeral.
