Emery Savoie, 84, formerly of Lone Pine Subdivision, South Tetagouche, passed away on Friday (December 12, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Neguac, he was the son of the late Doris and Claira (Savoie) Savoie.
He worked as a businessman and as cook and later as a Cooking Instructor. Upon retirement he developed a passion for gardening.

Three brothers:
Léandre (late Léonida) of Neguac, NB
Raymond (Coleen) of Saint John, NB
Alfred (Sandra) of Neguac, NB
5 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Irvin and Lucien.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (December 15, 2008) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church (Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire), St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Emery may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame Foundation or a favorite charity.
