Bathurst - Gerard J. Boucher, 82, of Levesque St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (December 22, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Antoinette (St. Jean) Boucher.
He worked for the Toronto Transit Commission from 1949 to 1963. In 1964 he started work at NB Power in Bathurst, became District Manager and retired as Consumer Service Representative for the North Shore.

Gregory of Petawawa, ON
Two daughters:
Helen Doucet (Chris) and
Nancy Boucher, both of Bathurst
Three brothers:
Claude (Marjorie) and
Jean (Albertine) both of Bathurst
Roe (Julie) of Robertville
One sister:
Yvette Doré (André) of Quebec City
5 grandchildren; Eric, Marc, Ben, Jeremy and Corey. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by 2 sisters; Gilberte and Marie Reine.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday (December 26, 2008) at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (December 27, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Gerard may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or a favorite charity. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
