Bathurst - Léo Sirois, 78, of Coffyn Cres., Bathurst, passed away suddenly at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Sunday (January 18, 2009). Born in St. Léonard, NB, he was the only son of the late Emile and Léona (Soucy) Sirois and step-son of the late Eva (Girard) Sirois. He worked as an insurance agent in the Bathurst area for most of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Della (Gaudet) Sirois. Two sons: Norman (Carol) and Tom (Nancy) both of Beresford Four daughters: Susan Sirois (Eugene Frenette) of Beresford Laurie Anne Clayton (Jim) of Fort Lauderdale, FL., USA Margie Baldwin (Joe) of St. Petersburg, FL., USA Barbara Doucet (Ron) of Fort McMurray, AB Grandchildren; Crystal, Jennifer, Jessica, Chelsee, Nathan, Zackary, Caroline, Madison and Tara. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday afternoon (January 21, 2009) from 2 to 4 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, where a prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery later in the spring. Donations in memory of Léo may be made to the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
