Bathurst - Alcide Chiasson, 79, husband of Huguette (Aubin) Chiasson, formerly of Ste Anne, Glou. Co., NB, passed away on Saturday (February 21, 2009) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst. Born in Lamèque, he was the son of the late Tiburce and Clothilde (Chiasson) Chiasson. Besides his wife of Ste Anne's, he is survived by: His children: Johanne Haché (Paul) of Longueuil, QC André of Brossard, QC Denis (Rhonda Breckenridge) of Ste-Sabine, QC Five grandchildren; Jean-Luc (Debi Stockbrugger), Françoise, Alexandra, Joël, Katrina and a great-grandson; Samuel. Brothers and sisters: Edmond (Pauline), Félicien, Cyprien, Alfred (Agathe), Jean-Paul V.D., Léandre (Lorraine) Simon-Pierre (Nicole) and Alphé, all of Lamèque, NB Léona Pelletier (Georges) of Rimouski, QC Several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by his brother, Père Jean-Paul Chiasson V.D., on Wednesday morning (February 25, 2009) at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Alcide may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame Foundation, the NB Lung Association or a favorite charity.
