Bathurst - John Murray Goddard, 68, of Dumeresq St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (March 19, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Charles Murray and “Annie” Grace (Daley) Goddard. He was retired from the Toronto Transit Commission. He is survived by spouse, Nancy (Godin) Thibodeau. Three children: Laura Goddard (Frank McInnes) of Courtice, ON Michael Goddard of Oshawa, ON Daryl Goddard (Sandra) of Hamilton, ON 5 grandchildren; Patricia, Shane, Dylan, Ashley and Kayla. Three brothers: William Goddard (Val) of Hamilton, ON Jimmy Goddard (Barb) of Saint John, NB Robert Hebert Goddard of Duguayville, NB Stepchildren: Robert Thibodeau (Nathalie Letourneau) of Moncton Stephane Thibodeau (Renée Roy) of St.Raphael sur Mer, NB Luc Thibodeau (Lina Arseneau) of Pointe-Verte, NB Annick (Mathieu Arseneau) of Petit-Rocher, NB Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friend after 2 p.m. Wednesday (March 25, 2009) at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, from where the Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. with Father Gregory Culligan officiating. Donations in memory of John may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
