DOUCET, Gerald W. … of Fleet Crescent, Bathurst, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the age of 65, surrounded by his family.
Born in East Bathurst, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Delima (Couture) Doucet.
He was a member of the UCT and worked at Atlantic Host for the past 24 years. Gerald loved his family very dearly.

6 grandchildren: Jessica and Kayla of Saint John, NB; Austin, Dylan and Abigail of Bathurst; Rebecca also of Bathurst; 4 step-grandchildren: Sophie of Beresford and Melissa of Bathurst: Alexandre and Jean Michel.

Gerald was predeceased by many sisters and brothers.
Visitation for Gerald will be held on Saturday (April 18, 2009) and Sunday (April 19, 2009) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home, (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, and on Monday (April 20, 2009) from 12 p.m. until time of funeral.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral,St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, or a favorite charity.
