Bathurst … Norman Doucet, 76, of Chaleur St., passed away on Sunday (26 April 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Delima (Couture) Doucet.
He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and also in carpentry.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Patricia Couture in 1997.

31 Grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter; Marie and many brothers and sisters.
The body is will rest after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
