Robertville - Gérard Louis Roy, 77, of Robertville, passed away on Wednesday (May 6, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Emery and Hélène (Daigle) Roy. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in Canada and Korea. He is survived by his wife; Clara Cormier of Sormany Four children from his 1st marriage: Manon Parent of Berthier, QC Adrien, Michel and Sophie Parent, all of Joliette, QC 2 grandchildren; Jonathan and Jean-Michel. Five sisters: Emérilda Boudreau (Gérard) of Beresford Estelle Albert (late Camille) of Toronto, ON Antoinette Pitre of Robertville Alice Duguay of Beresford Yvonne Thériault of St-Léolin, NB Five brothers: Émile (Ella) of Robertville Albert (Yvonne) of Lugar Raymond (Patricia Roy) of Colette Norbert (Patricia) of Petit-Rocher Réginald (Raymonde) of Beresford Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister; Sr. Jeannette Roy in 1996. Also his 1st wife, Lise (Gagné) Roy and his 2nd wife, Marie-Josée (Thériault) Roy. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Héritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (May 9, 2009) at 11 a.m. from Eglise Ste Thérèse, Robertville. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
