Bathurst - Ernest Kenny, 72, of Msgr. Godin Court, Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (May 10, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Ste Rose, he was the son of Frank Patrick and Emma (Nowlan) Kenny. He worked as a bus and truck driver for most of his life. Besides his wife, Marie (Cassie) Kenny, he is survived by: Four children: Kevin (Roberta) of Richmond Hill, ON Julie Showers (Jeff) of Brantford, ON Pierrette Power (Glenn) and Denise Kenny (Jeff Hammond) both of Mississauga, ON Two brothers: Willie (Isabelle) of Four Roads, NB Alexis (Wendy) of Pickering, ON Five sisters: Florence Mazerolle (late Willie), Aline LaPlante (late Alban) both of Ste Rose, NB Emma Robichaud (late Aurele) of Four Roads, NB Justine Landry (late Antoine) of Niagara Falls, ON Yvonne Robichaud (Delor) Quebec 4 grandchildren; Sean, Kristine, Michael, Brandon, 1 great-granddaughter; Shannon, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers; Elzear, Patrick and Frank. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (May 13, 2009) at 4 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
