Ste Anne - Valmond DeGrace, 70, of Ste Anne, Glou. Co., passed away on Tuesday (May 26, 2009) at his home in Ste Anne, after a brief illness
Born in Tremblay, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Tremblay) DeGrace.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (Dugas) DeGrace
Two daughters:
Diane DeGrace (Tom Martin) of Middle River
Rachel DeGrace (Gino Gauvin) of Tremblay
Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Three brothers:
Gerald (Dorina),
Clovis (Imelda) both of Tremblay
Aurèle of Tracadie-Sheila
One sister:
Aurella Bertin of Tremblay
Many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter; Lisa.
Valmond worked as a millwright most of his life. He was kind hearted, loved animals, enjoyed preparing firewood and was a regular walker at the KC Irving Center. He was devoted husband and father. He will be missed more then words can express.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (May 30, 2009) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
