Hector Roy, 86, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, husband of Marcella Roy, died Wednesday (March 10, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a short illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Isaac and Sarah (Salter) Roy. He worked for the former P. J. Theriault General Store and later worked for Canadian Tire for 25 years. Besides his wife, the former Marcella Bennett, he is survived by: 1 Son: Clarence Roy (Rosella) of Bathurst 1 Daughter: Margaret Bujold (Donald) of Beresford 2 Sisters: Hilda Brevelerie and Tillie Napoliton, both of Springfield, Mass USA 4 Grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday morning (March 13, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
