Irishtown, NB - Mark Murty, 29, of Irishtown and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (July 9, 2009) at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, brief illness. Born Bathurst, he was the son of Mike and Charline (Roy) Murty. He was the New Brunswick District Sales Manager for Kimpex. He will sadly missed by his wife Jennifer (Couture) Murty and his parents of Bathurst. One daughter: Kayla Grace at home One sister: Sandra Murty (Ronnie Gallant) of Moncton One brother: Jason of Moncton Paternal grandmother: May (Sisk) Murty of Black Rock Maternal grandparents: Charles and Gérarda (Lanteigne) Roy of Beresford. In-laws: Johnny and Marie (White) Couture of Bathurst Many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, niece, nephew and friends. Godparents; Benoit Roy and Ann Godin. He was godfather to Nicholas Frenette. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather; Herman Murty. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 2 p.m. from Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from noon until time of Funeral.
