John St Laurent of Bayshore Dr. Bathurst which occurred Wednesday August 26, 2009 at the age of 65 years at Chaleur Regional Hospital.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of late Louis and Palmire (Guérette) St Laurent.
John moved to Ottawa as a young man and over the years owned a number of salons. At retirement, he was owner of Bayshore Hair Stylist and SPA in Ottawa.
He moved back to Bathurst in 2006.
He was a great supporter of the handicapped children, he enjoyed the outdoor life.
He is survived by his wife; Rachel Scott,
One son;
Jean Marc of Red Deer, Alb.,
One daughter;
Michelle (Robert) Hay of Ottawa.
Three sisters;
Jeannine (Myles) Barron of Surrey, BC,
Patricia (Raymond) Robichaud of Athol Mass.USA
Elizabeth (Peter) Scichilone of Bathurst.
3 grandchildren; Emily, Jordan and Jessica.
He was predeceased by; a step-brother; Wilbrod and
a step-sister; Noëlla.
Visitations will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst Friday August 28, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00.
Funeral Service will be held at The Evangel Pentecostal Church in Bathurst Saturday August 29, 2009 at 11:00 am.
Burial will be in Spruce Grove Cemetery.
