Bathurst - Pierre Brideau, 89, formerly of West Bathurst, passed away on Friday (September 18, 2009) at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Pont LaFrance, he was the son of the late Michel and Marie (Arseneault) Brideau.
He was pre-decease by his first wife, Lauza Vautour and his second wife, Yvonne McLaughlin.

Marie-Louise Theresa Black (late Basil),
Debbie Willett (Mike),

Bertha Brideau (late Tom Roy) all of Bathurst
Sandra Colestock (late Richard) of Beresford

Gerald Brideau (Rose) of Madran
Marven Brideau (Pauline) of Allardville
Peter Brideau (Carole) of South Tetagouche
One sister:
Exilda Doucet of Quebec
15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter Elva Brideau-Doucet, a sister; Leda LeBouthillier, 2 brothers; Côme and Alphonse.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (September 21, 2009) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. (www.elhatton.com). Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from noon till time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Pierre may be made to the local S.P.C.A. or a favorite charity.
