Georgette was lovingly surrounded by family who held her hands, sang and prayed with her as she bravely met her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Albert for 48 years. Loving mother of Michel Ross and his wife Denise Caron, Monique Ross, Marcel and his wife Michelle Ross, Daniel and his wife Sylvie Ross, and Mary Jane and her husband Jim D’Arcy. Daughter-in-law of Lorena (the late Frank) Ross. Proud grand mama and great-grand mama. Dear sister of Therese (Gerald) LeBlanc, Simone (the late Gerry) Brun, George (Clementine) Hebert; and sister-in-law of Claude Burke and Florence Hebert. Also survived by many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Georgette touched the lives of all whom she knew and loved. She will be greatly missed, yet fondly remembered by her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Adeline and Edouard Hebert, sisters Christina Hebert, Loretta Burke, Doreen (Dick) Tenney, Margaret (Jean Paul) Boudreau, and brothers Emile (Mary) Hebert and Gerry Hebert. Georgette worked as a nurse for 27 years and spent time volunteering in hospitals in Bathurst and Moncton. Georgette prayed often, enjoyed gospel music, was a good dancer and cherished her family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to our family and good friends for their loving care of Georgette while she was at home. Thank you also to Dr. Winkler and the nurses at Moncton City Hospital for their wonderful and compassionate care of Georgette and our family in her final days. Friends will be received at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St.George St., Bathurst, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Georgette’s life will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Antony Pio officiating.
