Petit-Rocher- Raoul Doucet, husband of Eveline (Doucet) Doucet of Petit-Rocher passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on Friday 2 October 2009. Born on 9 September 1933 in Robertville, he was the son of the late Wilfred Doucet and late Emma (Cormier) Doucet. Raoul was a veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife Eveline, he survived by: His daughter; Françine (Alain Lagacé) of Petit-Rocher Three sons: Gilles (Rita Mallet) of Bathurst, Richard (Secora "Didit" Pena) of Vancouver, B.C. Marc of Winnipeg, MB 2 grandchildren: David and Marissa. He is also survived by five brothers; His twin; Ronald (Ella) Doucet of Petit-Rocher Léo (Jacqueline) Doucet of Sudbury, ON Réginald (Martha) Doucet of Welland, ON Lucien (Géraldine) of Robertville Rufus "Sam" (Jeannette) Doucet of Sudbury, ON Five sisters: Elva Grasse of Kitchener, ON Eveline (late Ulric) Roy of Beresford Carmeline (George) Lemieux of Bathurst Martha Smith of North Bay, ON and Isabelle Doucet of Caraquet. Many nieces and nephews Raoul was predeceased by a son Donald, a sister Adelia, brothers Gérald and Clifford and three brothers and 1 sister (died in infancy). There will be no visiting at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the St. Polycarpe Church of Petit-Rocher on Thursday 8 October 2009 at 4:00 p.m. In Memory of Raoul, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
