Bathurst - Raymond J.G. Arseneau, 71, of Dunlop, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital of Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Madran, he was the son of late Henri Arseneau and late Marguerite Lejeune.
Raymond is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years: Thelma.
His only daughter:
Annette (Richard Hachey) of Dunlop.
His granddaughters:
Vanessa and Marissa Hachey,
Also survived by five brothers:
Fernand (Dorina) of Petit Rocher,
Augustin (Augustine) of Bathurst,
Edmond (late Rose) of Sarnia ON,
Gérald (late Charlene) of Amherst NS,
Roger (Eleanor) of Truro NS.
Two sisters:
Yvonne Arseneau,
Jeannette Roy(late Philippe) both of Bathurst.
One sister-in-law:
Elizabeth Arseneau (late Adrien) of Amherst NS
And many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was predeceased by: three brothers: Rev. Léandor, Léo, Adrien, two sisters: Patricia Légère (late Heribert), Marie Auxilia, two granddaughters: Dionne Dominique, Erika Megan.
Raymond worked for Eddy Group as a salesman for most of his career. He loved nature, birds, gardening and card playing. For many years, his greatest hobby was woodworking.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday October 29, 2009 at 2 pm from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Association or a favorite charity.
