Bathurst – Alexandre Bertin, 83, of Bathurst and formerly of Beresford, passed away on Saturday (December 5, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Adelard and late Exilda (Roy) Bertin. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Brunswick Mines until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Duguay) Bertin. He is survived by: One son: Daniel Bertin of Bathurst One brother: Adélard Bertin of Beresford Two sisters: Irène Christie of Vancouver Island, BC Anita Vienneau of Petit-Rocher, NB Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Herbie, Benoit, Léonard, Hector; and sisters, Lilas and Léona. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (December 9, 2009) at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
