Bathurst - Mrs. Evelyn Godin, 91, formerly of South Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (December 9, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and late Marie Anne (Godin) Boudreau. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Hector Lavigne and her second husband, Leo Godin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by 7 children: Billy Lavigne (Yvette), Laurinda Garrett (Michael), Freddy Lavigne (Marjorie), Linda Lavigne, Paul Lavigne (Jenny) and Ethel Dunn (John), all of Bathurst Margaret Rose Lavigne of Moncton 8 step-children: Fernand Godin (Anita), Jeanne Louis (Mario) and Aline Piché (Pierre) all of Montreal Florent Godin (Rose Marie), Paul Emile Godin (Jeanne Blanchard) and Noëlla Paulin (Felix) all of Bertrand Emilina Robbins of Sudbury, ON Raymonde Losier (Denis) of Tracadie-Sheila 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She has a very special niece; Marie Boudreau. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday (December 12, 2009) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, with Father Edmond Chamberlain officiating.
