It is with great sorrow that we wish to announce the death of Lionel Roy of Robertville which occurred on the Wednesday January 13, 2010, at the Villa Sormany of Robertville, surrounded by his family, at the age of 89. He was the son of the late Philias Roy and late Florida Arseneault. He is survived by his wife: Marie May (Boudreau) Roy. His five children: Leo (Sandra) from Columbia, South America, Marie (Roy) McGrath (Arnold), Lynda (Roy) Krause (Larry), Ronald (Paulette), Maurice (Réjeanne) all from Robertville. 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Carpenter by trade, some of his proudest work was to be part of the construction of several church steeples. Passionate collector of antiques and had a love of sweets. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, who will certainly be missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. In memory of Lionel, for persons wishing to make a donation, may be made to Villa Sormany Foundation, would be appreciated. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held Saturday the 16th of January 2010 at 11am from the Église Ste Thérèse of Robertville. The family will receive condolences in the church basement after the service.
