Bathurst - Mrs. Estelle Couture, 81, wife of the late Charles Couture, of Packard St. and formerly of Blanchard Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (March 12, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Delima (Couture) Doucet. She was a member of the East Bathurst Golden Age Club and former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles, in 1989 and is survived by: Three sons: Edward (Maggie Murphy), David (Lina LeBouthillier) and Armand (Lucy) all of Bathurst Two daughters: Patricia Luce (James) and Linda Chamberlain (Albénie) both of Bathurst Four sisters: Rita Couture, Irene Couture, Jeannette Chamberlain and Simonne Doucet, all of Bathurst. 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 3 sisters; Marjorie, Josephine, Florence and 2 brothers; Normand & Gerald. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (March 17, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Estelle may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a favorite charity.
