Bathurst - Emery “Dill” Morais, 89, of the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit and formerly of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (May 10, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Tracadie, he was the son of the late Azade and Léonie (Brideau) Morais.
He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill in the wood room. He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada, Holland, France and England and was a 65 year member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.

6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Richard, Leo, Aurele, Tim and a sister, Elodia Chamberlain.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (May 13, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donation may be made to the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit or a favorite charity.
