Salmon Beach, NB - Mrs. Elsie Mae Jagoe, 66, wife of Brian Jagoe, of Salmon Beach, passed away on Thursday (September 30, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Margaret (Daley) Good and the late Irwin Good.
Elsie Mae graduated from the Moncton Nursing School in 1965 and worked for most of her career as the Director of the Medical Department of Smurfit Stone Containers. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association.
Elsie Mae was a well known Anglican Church organist in her community and she taught music lessons to many students young and old.
Besides her husband and mother of Salmon Beach, she is survived by: Two sons; Kevin of Salmon Beach and Darcy of Moncton. One daughter; Kristine Jagoe of Halifax, NS. One brother; Sherwood Good (Elaine) of Salmon Beach. One sister; Myrna Ainslie of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday afternoon (October 3, 2010) at 2 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Elsie Mae may be made to the St. Alban’s Anglican Church fund or a favorite charity.
