Bathurst - Mrs. Loretta Hachey Cortes, 93, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Bathurst, which occurred Tuesday (June 1, 2004) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Marain and Marie (Chamberlain) Hachey. She worked for several years in Montreal retiring in 1986 and moved to Bathurst in 1989. She resided with her nephew, Ronald and Anne Marie Hachey. She was pre-deceased by her husband William Cortes. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The body will rest at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until Funeral service at 7 p.m. with Father William Arseneault officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish cemetery, King Ave.
