Ste Anne's - Mrs. Florida Hachey, 84, wife of the late Theophus "Boy" Hachey, of Ste Anne's, passed away on Thursday (November 4, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
 
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Melvina (Hachey) Christie.
 
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Theophus "Boy", in 1987.
 
She is survived by:  Two sons; Roger (Stacie Walsh) and Donald both of Bathurst.  Two daughters;
Janet Tilbert of Ste Anne's and Joan Hachey (Lucille Laviolette) of Bathurst.  Three brothers; Ernest Christie (Jennie) of Kitchener, ON, Alphonse Christie (Tina) of Fredericton and John "Tommy" Christie (Phyllis) of Stony Creek, ON.  Two sisters; Marion LeJeune of Beresford and Isabel Dawson of Bathurst.
6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
 
She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers; Richard, Jim and a sister; Macrena.
 
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (November 9, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Florida may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
