Bathurst - Edmond Doucet, 67, of Packard St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (November 6, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph Edouard and Marie-Anne (Couture) Doucet.
He worked as an Electrician for most of his life and in farming.
Besides his wife, Raymonde (Audet) Doucet, he is survived by:
One son; Jérémie of Trenton, ON. Two daughters; Léa Augustus of Bathurst, Erica Lynn Lavigne of Moncton. One brother; Denis (Marie) of Petit-Rocher. Five sisters; Lorraine Godin (Jim) and Antoinette Roy, both of Beresford, Jeanne d'Arc Thériault (Paul) and Diane Doucet, both of Petit-Rocher, Albina Burnside of Australia. 6 grandchildren; Nicholas, Noah, Cynthia, Joshua, Brodie and Gabriel. Several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 7 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (November 10, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from noon until time of Funeral.
