Bathurst – Mrs. Imelda Saulnier, 72, wife of the late Charles Saulnier, of Sunset Dr., Bathurst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday (January 6, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Paquetville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Léocade Thériault.
She is survived by her children; Michel of Bathurst, Daniel (Marie-Josée) of Nigadoo, Alain (Susie) of Orillia, ON, Ginette (Jean-Luc Frenette) of Beresford. Two beloved grandchildren; Maxime and Miguel.
Her brothers; Lucien of Caraquet, Alyre (Louise) of Maniwaki, QC, Gérald (Mériza) and Donald (late Sylvia) both of Paquetville. Her sisters; Ernestine Doiron (Arthur), Lucille Thériault (Thomas) and Léna Vinet (late Yvon), all of Bathurst, Marie Forest (Guy) of Montreal, QC, and Lucienne Cormier (Roger) of Moncton.
Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband Charles, she was pre-deceased by her brothers; Odilon, Fr. Julien, sisters; Ida and Alphonsine.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (January 8, 2011) at 11a.m.from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. In memory of Imelda, donations to a favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
