Bathurst – Mrs. Stella Mallet, 100, wife of the late Henri Mallet, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Friday (January 21, 2011) at the Villa Sormany, Robertville.
 
Born in St. Amateur, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Julie (Haché) Cormier.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by:
Two sons:
Gerald Mallet (Carmelle) of Petit-Rocher, NB Tom Mallet (Edie) of Ottawa, ON
 
Three daughters:
Jeanne Richard (Yves) of Fredericton, NB Edna Park (Reed) of Miramichi, NB Mona Bottomley (Gary) of Darthmouth, NS
 
18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
 
She was pre-deceased by sons; Donald, Eric and daughters; Corinne and Lorraine.
 
The body will rest after 12 noon Monday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday (January 24, 2011) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., with Father Greg Culligan officiating.  Visiting hours are Monday from 12 noon until time of Funeral.  Donations in memory of Stella may be made to the Villa Sormany Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
