Bathurst - Mrs. Eleanor Henry, 78, wife of Norman Henry, of Poirier Lane, Bathurst, died Saturday (June 12, 2004) at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Elizabeth (Henry) Ellis.
She served in the militia as Corporal in the Pay Corps for 9 years. She worked at Sears for a number of years, she was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, volunteered for “Meals on Wheel” for 10 years and was an avid card player.

Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday morning (June 14, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
