Bathurst - Mrs. Gertrude "Gert" LeBlanc, 92, wife of the late Aurèle LeBlanc, of Bathurst and formerly of Beresford, passed away on Thursday (March 31, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Baker Brook, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Annie (Caron) Gagnon.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Bathurst and the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by: Three daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Boudreau (Martin) of Dieppe, Diane Roy (Roderigue) of Beresford and Denise LeBlanc of Bathurst; six sons, Maurice (Pierrette Arseneau) of Beresford, Ernest (Patricia), Claude (Cheryl), Louis (Joan), Ronald "Ronny" (Jeanne d’Arc Duguay) all of Bathurst and Bernard (Ginette Cormier) of Dieppe; two sisters, Thérèse Thibeault of Trois-Rivières, Que., Françoise O’Mara of Hamilton, Ont., 15 grandchildren, Marc, Cara, Jacques, Carole, Nathalie, Derrick, Carolyn, Carl, Hélène, Raymond, Kevin, Pierre, Richard, Tarah, Brian, 6 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Natasha, Danika, Vincent, Gabrielle and Catherine, special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.
The body is resting at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (April 2, 2011) at 1 p.m. from Église St. Nom de Jesus, Beresford. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Gertrude may be made to the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
