Mrs. Rachel Smearer, 37, of St-Foy, Quebec, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2011 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Quebec.
 
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Sheila Lavigne (Cormier) and step-father Walter Cormier.
 
She is survived by:
Three sons,
Brian Couture of Petit Rocher, N.B.,
Bobby Smearer of Quebec,
Alexandre Smearer of Quebec.
 
One brother,
Johnathan Smearer (Nancy) of Bathurst, N.B.
 
Two sisters,
Kelley Smearer of Moncton, N.B.
Raymonde (Kenneth) Smearer of Moncton, N.B.
 
One Aunt,
Joyce Gray.
 
Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, with father Gregory Culligan.
